Besides the combined 32 slots for South American teams, that due to overwhelming interest have already been filled, the event offers eight slots for North American teams and 16 for European teams, which can be publicly applied for in the official tournament thread.
Lucky attenders who get chosen, will find themselves in region-specific groups of eight, in where standard round robin matches are to be played. The best two teams of each division will enter the playoffs.
