DTS to unleash the Jungle onto EHOME

... in a stunning match on Day 1 of the World DotA Championship. The Ukrainian collective managed to outplay the worldwide most successful team, by utilizing a severe summon-push.

It began, with a rather conventional banning phase. The most essential bans for DTS marked with Oblivion and Enigma those two heroes, which would have deceased their chances of winning the most, given arguably the most disturbing team-fight spells Black Hole and Nether Ward in their grimoires. Out of EHOME came nothing surprising, apart from the rather unconventional Beastmaster. Even for the best teams, Holy Knight appears to be a ban of respect against DTS.

Entering the picks, ArtStyle chose a standard opening, which the team has already familiarized and made good experiences with. No other than NS, would have been able to use Vengeful Spirit on this kind of level within the roster. DTS's firstpick was furthermore neccessary, to back up ganks with the needed stuns and swaps. Other disabling spells in the draft are hard to find: a drawback, which got successfully compensated by a massive pushing potential, containing Heal and Summons as the main ingrediences.
Synergizing well with the countless familiars of Syllabear, Enchantress and Pandaren Brewmaster, was Dendi playing Shadow Priest. The Heals and Shallow Graves he provided, enabled the team to stay aggressive in a major percentage of fights.

Crucial for EHOME turned out to be the absence of Necrolyte, who got removed by themselves in the second banning phase. Setting up a powerful defence and turning the own base into a stronghold with his magic, might have saved the day for the Chinese. Those decided to fight with a rather conventional lineup, containing two standard solos and a Crystal Maiden-Earthshaker-carry-trilane. Especially DTS's Syllabear lastpick turned out to be neckbreaking for an EHOME-draft, which lacked AoE-damage to come out on top.

Resulting from the lane distribution, were aggressively played mid and top lanes from DTS. Artstyles enchantress ensured a total domination of X!'s Windrunner, who had to stay passive and sit by, as the two top towers took their fall within the first five minutes. Paying the price for the successfully running upper lanes was Light, as his Syllabear perished several times after raids from EHOME' trilane.

Dendi on his solo mid-laned Shadow Priest, as well as ArtStyle construed their roles in game as overly aggessive, which ensured them 6 kills each, plus several assists after just 19 minutes.

EHOME seemed to be perplexed and unprepared, given the offensive playing ability of their counterparts. 820 and his fighters gained their rythm back in a few teamfights, but slightly too late, as DTS accumulated the needed stength to demolish the last remaining sixth baracks after 46 minutes.

The ukrainian powerhouse is leading their group now and will play AEON.MuFc and the Xi'An college for a spot in the playoffs tomorrow. Besides psychological aspects, not all is lost for EHOME though, as two victories will secore them an advancement as well.
