After much debate on places to host the World Cyber Games in 2006 they have finally come to the decision of 
Monza, Italy.
After many rumors and debates to see who will host the next World Cyber Games competiton it came down to
Sydney, Australia; 
Cancun, Mexico; and 
Shanghai, China along with many others. However, Monza, Italy scored the highest out of them all. Statement from WCG Officials
"We are pleased to award the 2006 World Cyber Games Grand Final to Monza because it is a hub of international business, culture and education, furthering our aim to achieve world harmony through digital entertainment. The World Cyber Games brings tremendous benefits to its host cities and we are keen to see Monza reap these benefits."

Yun Jong-yong, the WCGC Co-chairman and CEO & Vice Chairman of Samsung ElectronicsAn interesting fact about this WCG is it will be ther first WCG held at Formula One Racing Circuit. This is at the same location that host the Italian Grand Prix and WCG Italy 2005. With the expected turnout of over 800+ competitors this will allow for good competition and a nice area to play.
