From February 19-21th, ESL will be hosting an eight team international CS:GO tournament as well as the ESL Masters Spain, the National League of Legends championship, in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
Eight CS:GO teams, four international, two European and two Spanish, as well as eight local League of Legends teams will battle it out in their respective tournaments for a total prize pool of €80,000 across the two platforms CS:GO and League of Legends at the ESL Expo Barcelona presented by Mobile World Congress. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament will use a format similar to the one from the Intel Extreme Masters held at gamescom, with each team being assigned three lives. Every defeat costs a life and the match winners get to pick which two teams will play next. The vote for the first series is currently on-going. In addition to Counter-Strike action this weekend, the ESL Masters Spain in League of Legends will be held at the three-day event.
